Start your day with the visit of the famous temple of Pashupatinath. It has been considered to be one of the spiritual sites in Hindu culture. The holy water of river Bagmati is the site of many pious hermits. Next destination of the day is Bouddhanath, it is famous in the Buddhist culture as the Buddhist come to this large stupa for pilgrimage. Within a city you will be seeing a famous tiberan refugee settlement. The main profession of these Tibetans is the carpet industry. Next halt is the famous stupa of Swayambhustupa. This stupa of 5thcenture is a major tourist attraction for its golden sire, along with ornamented prayer flags adorning the stupa has given a magnificent look to the stupa.
After breakfast, get a self-drive to Chitwan, 5 hours’ drive from Kathmandu. You will be reaching by noon. After lunch visit the famous Hattisar, the breeding ground of the elephants. You can roam around the center to look after different species of elephant. Around 7 pm you can look at the cultural program performed in Chitwan by the Tharu social groups. Before the dinner you will be getting a beautiful performance of these ethnic society. Dinner will be offered along with the performance.
After breakfast go for Jungle ride. Canoe ride in the river Rapti will a lifetime experience. You can look at the different species of birds along with two extinct kind of crocodile species called Gharial and Marsh Mugger. You can also get a detailed tour from the naturalists around to look at the jungle differently. Next you can go for the Jeep Safari that includes a package to stay back in the park on the forests next to Kasara. You can visit the Hatchery Farm of Gharial to look at the different kinds of crocodiles and their breeding habits.
Start your beautiful morning with encountering a sunrise. Start your drive to town Pokhra. This drive will give a spectacular view to look at. It is considered to be the largest valley of Nepal offering to witness natural landscapes of various kinds with an aesthetic value. In the evening you must visit to the Phewalake nearby.
After ravishing breakfast, visit the beautiful temple of Bindebasini, one of the oldest temple dedicated to Goddess Durga. The premise of the temple gives you an experience of tranquility along with a beautiful view of Himalayas. After the temple you can visit the adjoining market place. PataleChango, famous waterfall lying around 2km from Pokhara in south west. The gushing water of the waterfalls make it look more gorgeous during rainy season. Gupteshwor cave is a popular site to visit due to its natural forms of sculpture made from limestone deposits.
After arriving Paro airport you will get assistance from the hotel authorities. You will be traveling Thimpu, the capital of Bhutan. En route you will stop for visiting the confluence of two rivers Thimpu and Paro at Chuzom. This confluence is surrounded by the stupas of three different styles- Tibetan, Bhutanese and Nepalese. After check into spend the evening taking a walk around the market place, and explore street foods.
After the breakfast, you will start with the Pangrizampa monastery for getting an astrology session. Later you will be visiting the handmade paper mill, School of Arts and Crafts. Here the students come from different countries to learn art forms that are used predominantly in the land. Later you can visit the Bhutan Museum. Within the museum you can experience archery. Post lunch take a visit to the memorial built in the memory of 3rd King. Visit ChangangkhaLhakhang temple considered to be the oldest one in the valley.
After the breakfast start the day with a drive to Punakha through the pass of Dochula. It is one of the beautiful passes in Bhutan. 108 DrukWangyelChortens was built in the year 2003 over the pass by Queen Mother. Later This visit to the temple will indulge you in the spiritual nature of the country. Dzong showcases some of the best arts and craft artefacts styles used mostly in Bhutan. You next destination is SangchhenDorjiLhuendrupLhakhang Nunnery. Your day will be incomplete without taking an excursion of 20minutes walk to ChimiLhakhang, this dusty and muddy path along the fields of rice and mustards will give you a spectacular sight to enjoy. This path leads to a beautiful hillock where the chorten and monastery are located. This hillock of ChimiLhakhang is also known as the temple of fertility. The walk along the village gives you the glimpse of the routine life of the valley.
After taking delicious local breakfast, take a visit to Pele La Pass, boundary between west and east. This pass is remarkable due to its white chorten flags used for prayer purposes. From here you can notice the beauty of dwarf bamboo. On the route at ChendbjiChorten, there is a stupa built a stupa in the model of Kathmandu’s SwayambhunathStupa. It was built by Lama Shida in 18th century to make the place sanctified from the effects of evilness. Take a visit to TrongsaDzong. The architecture of Dzong dominated the Trongsa horizon, given the building surrounding a dwarfing effects. During 16th century it was the seat of governing power over eastern and central Bhutan. The first and second King ruled from this place. Drive to Bumthang further, which is around 68 kms from Trongsa. It takes around 3 hours through Yutong-la pass. The steep hilly roads along with coniferous forests on both side give a picturesque view to treasure. This valley is also known as Chumey valley
It is the name given to the integration of four valleys- Tang, Chumey, Ura, and Choekhor. This valley will make you spellbound with its beauty. It is the home of some of the oldest monasteries and Buddhist temples. The gentle slopes of the hills allow you to take a long walk. The valley is the production house of best quality cheese honey apples and yathra- woolen material used in winter wear. You must visit the temple of KurjeLhakhang, Padmasambhava, the saint subdued the demon and put his body on the rock as imprinted. The JambeyLhakhang,,TamshingLhakhang (housing some of the oldest wall paintings in Bhutan) and JakarDzong (administrative center of the region) are other major tourist attraction. You can roam around the village to get handicraft things for your dear ones.
Start your day after the breakfast for Punakha
Start your journey in the early morning for the excursion to a beautiful monastery of Taktshang. It is considered to be one of the famous Bhutan’s monasteries built on the Paro valley. It is believed that Guru Rimpoche has arrived here with his tiger for the purpose of meditation, therefore it is known as Tiger’s nest. Post lunch drive to a ruined fortress of DrukgyeDzong, where the Bhutanese soldiers fought against the Tibetans. The dome of Chomolhari, Mountain of Goddess is also another place to go for glory. You must also visit the 108 temples of KyuchuLhakhang built on 7th century by Tibetan King, SongtsenGampo. The building is considered the mark of Buddhism in Bhutan. Spend the evening in the beautiful valley of Paro to enjoy the serenity around you.
