Day Wise Planned Itinerary

  • DAY 1 : Colombo arrive

    Arrive at Bandarnaike International Airport. You will get assistance from the hotel authority to drive back to your respective hotel. The capital city of Colombo will captivate your visual sight with its picturesque landscapes, wildlife and magnificent fortress. Enjoy you evening by hopping at the local shop.

  • DAY 2 : Colombo city tour

    After delicious local breakfast take a tour to Kelaniya Raja MahaVihara, Gangaramaya (Vihara) Buddhist Temple, Viharamahadevi Park, Mount Lavinia Beach, Temple of Sri Kailawasanathan Swami Devasthanam Kovil, Town Hall, Independence Memorial Hall, Cinnamon garden. After a tiring day go back to your hotel for a peaceful night.

  • DAY 3 : Damabulla

    After completing breakfast get yourself ready for Dambulla. Freshen up yourself and then go for the sightseeing of the city. First visit the Golden Temple, UNESCO’s world heritage site. The cave gives an explanatory art description of the religious spirits of the era. It is famous tourist spot because of its magnificent murals, Buddhist statues and the exotic location.

  • DAY 4 : Kandy

    After breakfast, take a drive to Kandy. It is a large city located in Sri Lanka’s center. It is surrounded by the mountains, it is a plateau land. It has land for tea planation along with the bio diverse rainforest. Take rest in the hotel room. Then visit a famous Buddhist site called Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. It is famous around the world for its spiritual purposes. Visit the famous Kandyan Arts and Cultural center. At the end of the day you can enjoy performance of the local tribes the famous Drum Dance.

  • DAY 5 : Nuwara Eliya

    After breakfast get start for NuwaraEliya. It is a 2 hour 30 minutes’ drive. First visit the famous Seetha Amman temple, Gregory Lake, along with a session of picking tea in exotic tea plantation tour.

  • DAY 6 : City tour

    After a ravishing breakfast go for a beautiful trek to Horton Plains National Park. It comes under the designation of the national park in the year 1988. It is around 6 kms away from the Ohiya Gap. In the evening go to the local market for shopping purposes.

  • DAY 7 : Bentota

    After finishing your breakfast start your day for the next destination Bentota. After taking rest, go for visiting KandeViharaya, Sri KalyanramaMahaViharaya, Brief Garden and Bentota beach. After this exotic tour get back to the hotel for the last phase of your journey.

  • DAY 8 : Colombo - Paro -Thimpu

    After arriving Paro airport you will get assistance from the hotel authorities. You will be traveling Thimpu, the capital of Bhutan. En route you will stop for visiting the confluence of two rivers Thimpu and Paro at Chuzom. This confluence is surrounded by the stupas of three different styles- Tibetan, Bhutanese and Nepalese. After check into spend the evening taking a walk around the market place, and explore street foods.

  • DAY 9 : Thimpu Sightseeing

    After the breakfast, you will start with the Pangrizampa monastery for getting an astrology session. Later you will be visiting the handmade paper mill, School of Arts and Crafts. Here the students come from different countries to learn art forms that are used predominantly in the land. Later you can visit the Bhutan Museum. Within the museum you can experience archery. Post lunch take a visit to the memorial built in the memory of 3rd King. Visit ChangangkhaLhakhang temple considered to be the oldest one in the valley.

  • DAY 10 : Thimpu to Paro

    Start your day after the breakfast for Paro.

  • DAY 11 : paro

    Start your journey in the early morning for the excursion to a beautiful monastery of Taktshang. It is considered to be one of the famous Bhutan’s monasteries built on the Paro valley. It is believed that Guru Rimpoche has arrived here with his tiger for the purpose of meditation, therefore it is known as Tiger’s nest. Post lunch drive to a ruined fortress of DrukgyeDzong, where the Bhutanese soldiers fought against the Tibetans. The dome of Chomolhari, Mountain of Goddess is also another place to go for glory. You must also visit the 108 temples of KyuchuLhakhang built on 7th century by Tibetan King, SongtsenGampo. The building is considered the mark of Buddhism in Bhutan. Spend the evening in the beautiful valley of Paro to enjoy the serenity around you.

  • DAY 12 : Departure

    After breakfast you will be travelling to the airport for taking the return flight back to home. This 5 days itinerary of Bhutan trip will give you to treasure the memories of lifetime.
